This was my first major endeavor under the guise of OpenGeek. The young women who had created the original site had won awards at the SXSW Multimedia Festival, but they wanted a new look and a better way to manage their content. They tried some blog software but found it sacrificed their ability to make it look good and maintain the different kinds of content they wanted, including forums.
The source Photoshop graphic for the new design is by Katy Walker, the site's administrator and one of it's cofounders. We started with this image as a foundation, discussed the features they wanted, and off I went, searching for the perfect tools. Needless to say, they didn't exist, but I learned a lot about CMS systems in the meantime, before settling on PostNuke.
Suckarepellent.com is the only PostNuke site I've created that is still deployed in that CMS. I adopted MD-Pro shortly after deploying another site or two, and all the rest of my sites have since been upgraded to MD-Pro, or a different CMS.
